Michigan's Siding Installation Experts

One reason customers get frustrated by the siding process is that things will have to get worse before they can get better. There are a lot of steps that go unnoticed, making the job seem to be making no progress. So to avoid any confusion, Wendell's Roofing & Remodeling wants you to know the process before we start the work.

Seven Steps of Siding Installation

Step 1: Set up the work site. The crew will first take the time to get the appropriate tools and ladders safely set up.
Step 2: Tear off. The crew must then remove any old aluminum trim or siding and prepare your home for a major overhaul.
Step 3: Prep work. The crew will repair any rotted wood, put insulation and/or vapor barriers in place, and prepare the fascia and windows for new trim.
Step 4: Custom trim. Quality trim work is where siding experts make their money. It has to be perfect and no two houses are exactly alike. This is the most important part of the job.
Step 5: Install vinyl siding. This is a long process because there are no nail guns allowed, so the installers must hand nail every 16 inches apart horizontally, in perfectly level rows, every 9 inches high.
Step 6: Finish work. Next, the crew will make sure to wipe any hand prints, call anywhere it's needed etc.
Step 7: Clean up. Now it’s time to bring it all together. A good clean will put all eyes on your new home at the same address.
